Are you a fan of Jackson's LOTR trilogy?
Made by fans of the film trilogy and put up on Youtube, this is worth a watch. Interested to find out more about how this film was made?
Incidentally, there are lots of films on Youtube that are there perfectly legally and with full permission - you can find the full list here.

I enjoyed Tolkien, particularly the effort he put into his back story, but I'm always dubious about films of books I like.
The 'big' Lord of the Rings film was just absurd, but what I could get up of this was a lot more sympa.
Oh and well done on the WW front again.
Steve - I've only watched a few bits of this film but it does seem ever so good

I'm actually not a fan of Tolkien's books but I did like the films very much.

Ha, I had no idea this sort of thing was out there. My husband and I have the extended versions of each of the three movies. Perhaps this addition is something to watch when he gets home :)

I'm not a huge LOTR fan, but I do appreciate the work that goes into these films (and books)
I actually prefer the films to the books, a rarity, I know. Thanks for the link. Prefering the film to the book has only happened one other time. The book was by an American and its adaptation was French, with wonderful casting, and had a completely different sensibility to it than did the book.

CT - yes, we have the three extended versions - as well as the short ones as we didn't want to wait. We love them and sometimes Mr FF will watch all three back to back

e - They always say you should never see a film of a book that one has particularly enjoyed. Usually for me that applies but not in the case of the LOTR trilogy
My dear, I miss youtube so much for not having internet at home. Thanks for your comment on my blog. I've been frantically busy at work too with lunchtime talks and exhibition tours. I love Lord of the Rings but, shamefully, have only seen the first two.
ASD - I bet your social party face is very genuine and nobody knows how you would much rather be away from the mob - you hide it very well.

I love this century! I watched all the films after having read the books as a child. Once I had seen them, I was done. Albeit I could be talked into a hunt with that elf....
We loved them too...and have all of them on DVD!! Chris and I are huge movie fans and have more DVD's than you could shake a stick at!!

I haven't seen them - something about hype does that to me darling.
I might catch this though, I appreciate indie filmmakers and I'm guessing this was done with love and a shoestring.
