We went to a pretty Breton town yesterday - Huelgoat - pronounced Welgwa - and it's another place on a lake, although tiny when compared to Annecy. There is quite an interesting phenomenon there called a Chaos, all these huge boulders that appear to have fallen into the river. It is quite a tourist spot, although my photos don't really do it justice.
