Weeds

I really shouldn't be sitting in here trying to catch up on blogging. Even though I love our garden and the planting stage of things, when it comes to the weeding I'm a bit lazy. Every night I think I'll do some weeding in the morning but then of course it just doesn't happen. I even put lots of bark chippings down in the harder places to minimise this dreadfully boring chore but the weeds have now settled amongst the bark.

I don't like to use weed killer a) because of the dogs and b) in case it kills some of our lovely plants and shrubs; I've never quite mastered the angle of the hoe either (I know I know) so it is a case of crouching down and putting a bit of welly into it (a bit of English slang meaning effort).
