How lovely to spend your life creating things like this

There is nothing worse than finding out about someone who everybody already knew was a genius. Until last week I had never even heard of this woman but it seems that lots of you out there did know -and you didn't even tell me.

here is another of Jacqui Lawson's beautiful Christmas cards. Turn up the sound and get in the Christmas mood.

It's magic isn't it? It makes me feel all Christmassy. That was one of the ones my mum sent to her friends. Mum spent ages on that site. She sent a birthday one to her friend too. She's dead chuffed that she found it through you.

You've got us hooked, FF, my daughter has gone through and played them all. She's currently screaming at me to get off the computer so she can get back to them! :)

Henry - your mum and I have been discovering them together then. I bet we looked at the same ones at the same time :p

Mama Kathy - have you seen my latest one in the sidebar above my blogroll? It's so beautiful. I've linked to her now and it will be updated automatically each month

Hadriana - I think her cards bring out the child in all of us. I've seen many e-cards in my time but nothing like these

Hi Fancy,

Yes! Corona Del Mar is the southern tip of Newport Beach.

I love The Yellow Wallpaper in High School. (This is also a small film.)

I thought the protaganists descent into madness after being spared the extraordinary inconvenience of thinking, interesting.

Had I been alive in those days, I would have been in a mental institution before reaching puberty. hee hee

Her animated cards are so charming! I love the lab dogs she often includes.

I just saw the fairy and the Christmas tree on your side bar, it's beautiful, I could really do with that little fairy's help here.

Charmaine - I can't remember the intricacies of the Yellow Wallpaper too clearly because these studies are quite intense - you cram it all in to your short-term memory and nothing remains in too much detail.

It was part of a gender studies period in which we read a lot of writing of that ilk, culminating in The Color Purple. So all-in-all it was my year of a lot of down-trodden repressed women. I probably huffed and puffed a lot and mumbled under my breath about women's repression etc.

willow - it's not very original of me to post another of her cards so soon after doing one last week. My excuse is that I have a bit of a temperature and am not thinking too clearly

Mama - isn't it pretty. There should be a new one in the sidebar each month

laurie -don't they. She could charge an annual rate 4 times the current charge and people would still subscribe. It's incredibly good value

Her cards are just the best.

Well, you shouldn't worry, because I hadn't seen this one, which is enchanting. Sadly for the creator, I imagine she gets no revenue from 99% of the cards that get viewed - but I hope she finds some reward in the pleasure she gives.

DJK - yes, I keep looking at them and marvelling

BroTob - I've sent her a link to the blog (yes, me and the other five million that mention her) - if you have her 'changing card' in your sidebar she likes to know who you are.

So, Ms Lawson, if you have the time to read this - I think you are a creative genius.
